My mum picked up this beautiful plaster gold gilt mirror yesterday at the car boot sale and asked if I would help her shabby it to match her white, opulent, french style bedroom furniture.

So obviously I said yes and we had a mini workshop session, while the chicken cooked in the oven.

Sorry the focus on the camera was set wrong and a couple of pictures came out a bit blurred, but you get the idea.

We used Annie Sloan Old White and then soft wax to finish, she's not too keen on overstressing so we only painted one coat. I think she had fun, then we had dinner. Thanks mum I enjoyed transforming the mirror with you x
